Some of you may already know that we celebrate a BIG and very exciting birthday this year. This year the Cutting Edge turns 30! I know, we can barely believe it ourselves. A lot of you have been with us for most, if not all of that time and some only part of it. We appreciate you all the same and want to take this moment to thank every one of our clients for their continued support throughout the years, and especially in the more recent challenging times. Before the pandemic hit, it was our goal to hold an event in the salon where we could invite you all to celebrate our big mile stone along with us. Obviously, that will need to be put on hold for now but as soon as it’s possible we would love to host such an event. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that in the (hopefully not too distant) future.
There’s also been a few changes in the salon since we opened up again on the 5th of April. If you follow us on any of our social media channels, you’ll be aware that Lorraine has decided to take a step downdue to health reasons and will be working more behind the scenes of the business. This decision was made with a heavy heart and we are sure that Lorraine’s clients will miss her just as much as she will miss them. Scott has since taken over the day-to-day responsibilities of running the salon, which he had plenty of experience doing while working alongside Lorraine over the years. You can rest assured that you have been left in very capable hands with Scott and the rest of the Cutting Edge team!
Since we returned, Rachael is now a fully qualified stylist and has been doing such an amazing job. She has been super busy and has certainly been thrown in at the deep end, but she’s taking it all in her stride and it’s clear to see she loves what she does and has a natural talent for it. We also have Melanie, who is the newest member of our team and also our junior. You’ll most likely come across her while booking your appointments or when having your hair washed in the salon. Melanie has been enjoying studying hair at college as well as learning on the job while working with the rest of us, and we look forward to having her join us as a qualified stylist in the next couple of years.
The past few weeks has been crazy busy for us but we have loved every second of it! It’s been a great pleasure to get back to what we love doing as well as catching up with you lovely lot.
