Since opening our doors back up again on Wednesday 15th July, things have been far from what we knew them earlier this year.
It's amazing how quickly you adapt to the changes required, which we now know as the "new normal".
Before we could re-open, we had to make sure we had all the vital precautionary measures in place to ensure we could keep both our staff and clients as safe as possible.
We've had screens put up between each of our stations to section them off.
We have bottles of hand sanitiser at every station as well as a hands-free sansitising unit to be used upon entry.
We've also ensured that both staff and clients wear masks at all times while inside the salon.
These changes, albeit necessary, felt strange at first. But now we carry them out on a daily basis without a second thought.
It's not been all doom and gloom though!
Throughout the lockdown, we used our time wisely to focus on things we otherwise thought we didn't have time for.
Making a start to this website was one of them!
We increased our social media presence and maintained a more frequent and consistent posting schedule, which (if you follow us on our Facebook or Instagram accounts) we hope you have noticed and apprectiated our efforts.
We reached out to a very talented Graphic Designer (@tonigdesign on Instagram), who helped design a very modern and slick logo for our social media.
In the future, we hope to have this on our outdoor signage and on the wall behind the reception desk inside the salon.
Scott and his girlfriend were kept busy hand-making a beautifully framed flower wall. This is placed at the back of the salon in a little section we now like to call the "Instagram or Selfie Wall".
It's proven to be a hit with clients, who have loved getting their picture taken of their freshly coloured and/or styled hair with the flower wall as their stunning backdrop.
